Class of 2025

Nevaeh
Nevaeh began rowing with RowLA in the summer of 2020 as one of our summer campers. Like many of the athletes new to the sport, she quickly fell in love with rowing and never looked back. In 2022, she joined RowLA’s competitive team, competing in numerous regattas and proudly representing the team. Always arriving at practice with a bright beaming smile, Nevaeh has brought positivity and dedication to every session. As co-captain, she has contributed calm and reliable leadership to the team and offered support for her fellow teammates.
Following her graduation from Palisades Charter High School, she will join the team at the University of Portland as a scholarship athlete, where she will row for their Division 1 team and study psychology. During her senior year, Nevaeh’s school was temporarily relocated due to the Palisades fires, yet she continued to show resilience and focus both on and off the water. We have no doubt she’ll bring the same passion and optimism to her college studies, and it will be a joy to follow her path and see all the wonderful things she achieves.
Nora
Nora joined RowLA in 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. What began as a way to stay active quickly grew into a deep love for the sport and team. She continued rowing throughout high school, joining the competitive team in 2022 and represented RowLA at numerous regattas. As co-captain, Nora kept her teammates in line (with love, of course), and her energy, honesty and humor will be missed on the team.
A graduate of Santa Monica High School, Nora is headed to California State University, Sacramento. As a scholarship athlete, she will continue rowing for their Division 1 team and we’re confident she’ll bring the same grit and determination that defined her time with RowLA. We look forward to following her next chapter and know she’ll thrive in whatever she sets out to achieve.
